Even if you don’t own a house or car or any other substantial assets it is still important to create a Will. If you die intestate (i.e. without a proper Will) your property and funds in your bank accounts will be distributed according to a predetermined formula established by law. Your superannuation will be distributed at the trustee’s discretion, which may not be in accordance with your wishes.
The estate planning team at Matthews Folbigg Lawyers can assist in creating a Will to allow your estate to be distributed according to your wishes.
In addition to your Will we encourage you to have a Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship in place as part of your estate planning.
